To go to school, girls in many communities must overcome many challenges including cultural bias, discrimination, poverty and violence. Room to Read’s Gender Equality Programme has supported over 3.7 million girls, advancing education, literacy, and gender equality in historically low-income communities around the globe.

Classes on life skills such as leadership, resilience and critical thinking
Individualized support and guidance from a local woman mentor
Family and community engagement to raise awareness and build support for girls' education

Room to Read (Hong Kong) Limited is a Hong Kong tax-exempt organization as described in Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance. All donations over HK$100 are eligible for tax deduction. No goods or services have been or will be provided to you in exchange for this contribution. As such, donations are tax-deductible for Hong Kong Income Tax purposes during the tax year 2022/23.
