In honor of our 25th anniversary in 2025, new monthly donations will be MATCHED for the first 12 months by Room to Read's regional board members. 

Your monthly gift will go TWICE as far for an entire year, providing steady funding we can count on to support communities where the need for quality education is most urgent. 

Monthly donors help us train educators, publish and distribute books and learning materials, establish and maintain school libraries, and provide one-on-one mentoring and life skills training for adolescent girls at risk of dropping out of school.

Founded in 2000 on the belief that World Change Starts with Educated Children®, Room to Read helps children in historically low-income communities develop literacy skills and a habit of reading, and supports girls as they build life skills to succeed in school and negotiate key life decisions. We collaborate with local communities, partner organizations and governments to test and implement innovative models that can be integrated into education systems to deliver positive outcomes for children at scale. To date, Room to Read has benefited more than 45 million children across 28 countries and in more than 192,000 communities.

Room to Read (Hong Kong) Limited is a Hong Kong tax-exempt organization as described in Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance. All donations over HK$100 are eligible for tax deduction. No goods or services have been or will be provided to you in exchange for this contribution. As such, donations are tax-deductible for Hong Kong Income Tax purposes during the tax year 2022/23.

An official receipt for one-time donations will be sent by the end of the following month. For monthly donations, an official summary receipt for the year will be sent by the end of February, the following year.
