TechBikers is fundraising for Room to Read
Initiated by Eze Vidra, Techbikers is a collaboration within the London tech startup community aimed at supporting the children’s literacy charity, Room to Read. Since 2012, over 1,000 tech professionals — including startups, venture capitalists and executives — have cycled over 6,000 kilometers for the cause.
This September, we'll be a group of 50 fundraising for Room to Read because we believe that world change starts with educated children.
Founded in 2000 on the belief that World Change Starts with Educated Children®, Room to Read is creating a world free from illiteracy and gender inequality. We are achieving this goal by helping children in historically low-income communities develop literacy skills and a habit of reading, and by supporting girls to build skills to succeed in secondary school and negotiate key life decisions. Room to Read collaborates with local communities, partner organizations and governments to test and implement innovative models that can be integrated into the education system to deliver positive outcomes for children at scale. To date, Room to Read has benefited more than 32 million children across 21 countries and over 49,000 communities and aims to reach 40 million children by 2025. Learn more at www.roomtoread.org.
Your donation will be used where and when it is needed most, allowing us to deliver a comprehensive and holistic approach to education.
